*  PRICE GUARANTEE:    At THE VELVET FROG we realize you have many choices for your online shopping and appreciate your business. We want to assure you that you are receiving exceptional merchandise at competitive prices!    If you should find the exact item we sell for less elsewhere (at the time of purchase), we will honor that price.  Items must be new and offered from a published online store (non-auction site).

Our Design Consultants can coordinate with our artisans to create "COM" (Customer's Own Material) upholstered chairs and linens with fabrics of your choice.  For your protection we require that you include a copy of your receipt or invoice that reflects the cost of your fabric when you ship yardage to THE VELVET FROG. When your COM bedding or upholstered furniture is shipped, we will insure the package for the appropriate value.   If we do not receive a receipt with your COM, THE VELVET FROG cannot be held liable for the replacement cost of your fabric.  Only the purchase price of your merchandise from THE VELVET FROG will be covered should it be lost or damaged in transit.

We offer fabric for purchase by the yard for window treatments, shower curtains and other items. In many cases THE VELVET FROG can facilitate the design and manufacture of these items, but if that is not an option, we will gladly assist you in determing the right fabric yardage.

Our experienced Designers work with talented artists to paint custom furnishings to match colors and motifs of existing furnishings, wallpaper or fabrics. In some cases, we have collaborated with customers and master craftsmen to design fanciful, one-of-a-kind furniture. All sales are final on custom orders.  THE VELVET FROG cannot accept returns or exchanges of any item marked as "custom made", special order/personalized items, COM orders, fabric yardage or any custom designed item.  These items are specifically state on their individual product pages as "this item is custom made for you and cannot be returned".

*   CUSTOM FURNITURE:   In addition to our wonderful regular line of children's furniture we also specialize in custom built furniture made to your specifications. *  WOOD & FABRIC SWATCHES:   We understand that shopping online and viewing fabrics and paint finishes may be difficult as computer monitors display colors differently. THE VELVET FROG is happy to offer fabric swatches and finish samples for most of our linens and furnishings in order to help you select the right item every time. Fabric swatches and paint finishes are available for check out from those manufacturers that provide to us.   

If you wish to look at fabric swatches or color/finish samples in order to assist you in making your product choices, we will gladly supply them. In order to process your request, a credit card number is required, although no charge will be incurred if the samples are returned within 3 weeks. Due to the high demand for swatch samples, a $25 charge will be incurred for each unreturned swatch set.

All furniture samples (wood and metal) must be returned to THE VELVET FROG. If you place a bedding order with us, you may keep the corresponding fabric sample, to help with further decorating.   IMPORTANT NOTE:   Due to the fact that dye lots vary, the colors in the swatches can differ from the color of the finished product.    Contact us for your swatch check out at design_svc@thevelvetfrog.com.

*  TO THE TRADE:   If you are a designer, representative of a commercial/hospitality firm, film production company or publication editor, and interested in our furniture and decor we will be happy to assist you with your design project.  Discounts will depend on the manufacturer and the quantity of pieces ordered.   Please contact  tothetrade@thevelvetfrog.com or by phone at (703) 753-0474  Monday thru Friday, 9am - 5pm EST with the products you are interested in and we will be happy to discuss how we can assist you.   You will be asked to also provide a copy of your business license, your resale certificate, trade references and other information for verification.   They can be emailed or faxed to (703) 753-2623.   Please do not submit information without speaking to a client liason representative at  THE VELVET FROG.   NOTE:   We do our best to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours.   If you have an URGENT DESIGN REQUEST, please make sure you specify that as well, and we will do our best to respond at our earliest convenience.

Please keep in mind that since many of the items we carry are hand crafted and made-to-order, production can range from 2-10 weeks. Depending on the production time of each individual manufacturer lead time can vary.

While these items typically coordinate well in your home, an exact color match is not guaranteed. In order to ensure that you are completely satisfied with our suggested design combinations, you should request swatches of all items prior to placing your order.   These suggestions are simply that, design suggestions.   We realize that everyone has a different taste and design style, and decorating options vary tremendously even with the same products.
